Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)
- In December, 2022, as court appointed co-lead counsel and a negotiator in the In Re: Juul Labs Inc. class action on behalf of addicted consumers of the e-cigarette product, obtained a $255 million consumer class action settlement as well obtaining a confidential higher amount for the approximately 10,000 injured plaintiffs and numerous government entities and school districts. The following year, in 2023 , as a co-lead counsel and negotiator, obtained a settlement with defendant Altria for its role in the Juul vaping epidemic totaling $235 million for the class, personal injury and government entity clients. Ms. Relkin has also obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for clients injured by numerous different models of defective hip implants in confidential settlements.
