Eve Rachel Markewich is an attorney at Markewich and Rosenstock LLP, in New York, New York. Ms. Markewich represents a diverse client base throughout the New York metropolitan region in business litigation, commercial litigation, probate, trust and estate litigation matters and more.
After graduating from Harvard College, Ms. Markewich earned her law degree from Columbia Law School, where she achieved the status of Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She has been admitted to practice law since 1988 and has attained the highest possible rating, AV Preeminent*, from the attorney peer review organization Martindale-Hubbell.
In addition to more than 20 years of litigation experience, including significant litigation time in the Surrogate’s Court of the State of New York, Ms. Markewich is also familiar with non-litigation methods such as arbitration and mediation. She is also experienced in appeals and has authored numerous articles on various legal topics and spoken many at conferences and seminars throughout her career.
Ms. Markewich is actively involved in several organizations on both a local and national level. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, serving on the executive committee, the Trusts and Estates Law Section and as vice chair of the Estate Litigation Committee. She is also involved with the New York County Lawyers’ Association as a member of the Surrogate’s Court Committee and the Committee on the Supreme Court.
Additional groups that Ms. Markewich belongs to include the New York City Bar Association, the Lexington Democratic Club and the Women’s Bar Association. She is also vice chair of the board of directors of the Amputee Coalition and previously served as district leader of Park River Independent Democrats.
