George A. Gellis

George A. Gellis, a founding shareholder and managing director of Gellis Law Group, practices corporate, commercial, and international law, concentrating on private equity investments; M&A and corporate restructuring.

Prior to forming Gellis Law Group, he was engaged as corporate counsel and later managing director of RGF AG, a Swiss-based private equity and venture capital financial intermediary, as well as general counsel of Zuricher Energie Holdings AG. Mr. Gellis also served as an executive vice-president and general counsel of the London-based Midland Oil and Gas Ltd (UK), where he was in charge of all legal aspects of the company and its subsidiaries’ operations in the U.K., U.S., and Central Asia. Over the years, Mr. Gellis has been involved in risk management, negotiation and coordination of complex international transactions, investment in medical, pharmaceutical and technology ventures, complex commercial and cross-border transactions, as well as all aspects of investor and public. Earlier Mr. Gellis was engaged as corporate counsel of several Wall Street-based private equity and venture capital companies. He practiced with several New York law firms concentrating on domestic and international corporate law, licensing, and intellectual property transactions.

Mr. Gellis is a recipient of numerous industry awards, and serves as a board member of several private companies and not-for-profit organizations. He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
