Attorney Gretchen Beall Schumann is a founding partner at the New York City law firm of Rabin Schumann and Partners LLP.  Ms. Schumann has distinguished herself in the area of family law in New York City and the metro area.  Her dedicated representation and commitment to her clients has placed her among the top female attorneys in New York state.  Ms. Schumann brings years of experience when clients are facing challenges involving both negotiation and litigation, including in complex matters involving domestic and international aspects of family law.

Ms. Schumann is the former President of the New York Women’s Bar Association Foundation, Inc. (2016-2022) and the New York Women’s Bar Association (2010-2011); before that, she was the Association’s Vice President and Treasurer. From 2005 until 2008, she served as Secretary of the New York City Bar Committee on Children and the Law, and from 2004 until 2007, as Secretary of the New York County Lawyers’ Association Matrimonial Law Section. Ms. Schumann is currently a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

Ms. Schumann began her legal career in 2001 after earning her law degree from Cornell Law School.  She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University.  She is admitted in New York and New Jersey.
