James P. Kreindler

Attorney James P. Kreindler is a partner with Kreindler & Kreindler LLP, which has office locations in New York, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, and Los Angeles, California. Working primarily out of the firm's New York City location, Mr. Kreindler has more than 40 years of total legal experience, and he currently focuses his practice primarily on aviation accidents and terrorism litigation.

Mr. Kreindler presently leads the Kreindler effort in the 9/11 terrorism litigation case holding Saudi Arabia accountable for its role in the tragedy. He has also served as lead of the Plaintiffs’ Committee in the Pan Am Flight 103 families’ lawsuit against Pan Am and Libya, and he has handled many other highly complex and high-stakes litigations involving other airline crashes across the country and around the world.

A recognized leader in aviation law, Mr. Kreindler has written extensively and conducted numerous lectures and continuing legal education seminars on the topic, and he holds the distinction of being one of only two attorneys in America (along with Lee Kreindler) to conduct a lecture before the International Air Transport Association meetings.

Honored for his outstanding professionalism and legal abilities, Mr. Kreindler has earned an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell along with perennial designation as one of New York City’s Best Lawyers from Best Lawyers**. He has also received designation as among the 500 Leading Litigators in America from Lawdragon, and he received the Public Justice Trial Lawyer of the Year Award in 2009. A 1977 magna cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, Mr. Kreindler attended Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1980. He is admitted to practice before all New York state courts as well as before the U.S. district courts for the southern and eastern districts of New York; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 5th and 9th circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
