Jason A. Advocate

As a partner at Advocate, LLP, Jason A. Advocate provides dedicated legal services to clients in Manhattan and throughout New York City, New York. He focuses his practice on family law, generally handling cases that involve high net worth divorce and child custody.

In 1990, Mr. Advocate graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts. He then went on to receive a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law in 1993.

With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Advocate understands the complexities of family law matters and their effects on everyone involved. For that reason, he strives to help his clients and their families reach amicable resolutions to their legal issues. However, if the other side refuses to budge, Mr. Advocate will aggressively fight for his clients' rights. In each case he handles, Mr. Advocate works to ensure that his client's immediate and long-term needs are met. To do this, he draws on his extensive trial experience and his knowledge of matrimonial and commercial law.

Beyond his work in the courtroom, Mr. Advocate is an active member of the legal community. His memberships include the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Advocate is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has also shared his knowledge and expertise on various legal issues as a lecturer at numerous institutions.
