Jill M. Zuccardy is an attorney at Jill M. Zuccardy, Esq., located in New York, New York. She has devoted more than three decades to the practice of family and matrimonial law, building a reputation for skilled and compassionate advocacy.
Ms. Zuccardy currently focuses on uncontested divorces, appellate work and matters involving child protective investigations or challenges to “indicated” findings. During this time, she continues to collaborate as “of counsel” with two other firms, both of which share her dedication to thoughtful, client-centered family law representation.
In addition to her casework, Ms. Zuccardy is widely recognized as an educator and thought leader in her field. She has conducted trainings and seminars across the country for attorneys, judges, advocates, policymakers and social workers on issues central to family law. She is also the co-author of the leading legal treatise New York Law of Domestic Violence, now in its fourth edition.
Ms. Zuccardy’s experience spans family court and Supreme Court matters involving custody, visitation, child support, domestic violence, orders of protection, allegations of child abuse and neglect, and the financial and property issues that arise during divorce. She also regularly assists clients facing child protective services (ACS/CPS) investigations and represents those challenging “indicated” reports before the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
Ms. Zuccardy’s career reflects a balance of public service and private practice. Since founding her solo practice in 2012, she has emphasized providing high-quality legal services at a reasonable cost, maintaining low overhead so that she can remain focused on her clients and the law. She accepts only those cases where she believes she can make a meaningful difference – whether through the result achieved or by guiding clients through the challenges of the family law system with care and dedication.
