John A. Nicoletti

John A. Nicoletti serves as the managing partner of Nicoletti Hornig Namazi Eckert & Sheehan in New York City, New York. With decades of legal experience, he provides skilled representation to clients facing complex legal challenges. His practice primarily focuses on insurance coverage, transportation and maritime law, as well as matters involving food and drugs.

As a strategic advocate, Mr. Nicoletti works closely with corporate clients, policyholders and industry leaders to navigate intricate legal and regulatory frameworks. His extensive work in maritime law and insurance coverage enables him to effectively evaluate high-stakes claims, interpret policy terms and resolve disputes through negotiated settlements or litigation. Mr. Nicoletti earned his Bachelor of Arts, graduating cum laude, from New York University in 1974. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 1977. Admitted to practice in New York in 1977, he is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of New York. His extensive federal appellate practice includes admissions before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Circuits, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Nicoletti is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, serving as a proctor in Admiralty and as a member of the Committee on Marine Insurance. He is also affiliated with the American Bar Association and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
