After completing his undergraduate studies from Adelphi University in Garden City, he pursued his legal studies at St. John's University School of Law in Queens. Earning his Juris Doctor in 1984, he passed the bar in 1985 and has since been licensed in all the state courts of New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
