Joseph Myers

Joseph Myers is an employment litigation attorney at Phillips & Associates in New York, New York. He represents employees in matters involving unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour law claims and other workplace issues. He serves clients throughout the New York City area, as well as in Virginia. He is licensed to practice law before all New York and Virginia state courts.

Mr. Myers has experience with cases involving failure to pay overtime, hostile work environment, retaliation and wrongful termination. While experienced with both negotiation and arbitration, he is willing to take a client’s case to trial if necessary. He understands the distress that a job loss or workplace dispute can cause and provides his clients with a clear explanation of their rights under the law.

Mr. Myers graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with a bachelor’s degree in history and classical civilization. He went on to earn his law degree from The George Washington Law School in Washington, D.C., graduating with honors in 2014. While attending law school, he served as an intern with the U.S. General Services Administration Office of Inspector General and the U.S. Court of Claims, now the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Practicing law for several years, Mr. Myers served as an associate and senior associate for an employment law firm and handled extended, complex arbitration issues before joining Phillips & Associates.
