Joseph Tacopina

Attorney Joseph Tacopina is senior partner with the Tacopina, Seigel & DeOreo law firm in New York, New York, and he serves as the firm's lead trial counsel. Nationally recognized as one of the top trial lawyers in the country, Mr. Tacopina has achieved unprecedented success fighting for the rights and liberties of those accused of a wide range of felony and misdemeanor offenses.

He holds his license to practice in Connecticut and New York, and he is admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in New York as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Districts of New Jersey and Connecticut.

Mr. Tacopina is a member of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and its committee on federal legislation as well as the Judicial Committee for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is also active in other legal organizations, and he has served on the faculty at Harvard Law School.
