Larry F. Gainen is a founding partner of Ingram Yuzek Gainen Carroll & Bertolotti, LLP, located in New York City, New York. He has four decades of experience in dealing with various aspects of matters relating to construction law. More specifically, Mr. Gainen provides representation to various entities in the construction industry, including owners, architects, engineers, construction managers and contractors. He also counsels participants in the construction process in ongoing operations and project management, and negotiates and prepares construction and design agreements.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts from what was then known as the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1968, Mr. Gainen went on to earn his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 1974. Prior to co-founding Ingram Yuzek Gainen Carroll & Bertolotti, LLP, in 1989, he was an associate at a well-known international law firm and then a partner at a New York City firm.
Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Gainen is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd and 7th Circuits. He has experience in handling all types of construction dispute resolution, including arbitration and negotiation. As part of his practice, Mr. Gainen proactively guides his clients through the construction process, and he regularly drafts contracts for architectural and engineering clients, and partners in professional design firms as well as developers of high-end condominium projects.
