Lauren G. Blau

Lauren G. Blau is an Associate at Chemtob Moss Forman & Beyda, LLP, in New York City. Lauren exclusively practices matrimonial and family law, representing clients in high net worth divorces, contested child custody cases, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements, spousal and child support disputes, property distribution, orders of protection, negotiating settlement agreements and, when necessary, aggressively litigating cases through trial.  

Lauren appreciates the harsh reality of untangling families, both legally and emotionally, and works side by side with her clients to get them to the finish line—the conclusion of their case! Lauren is a zealous advocate and is a problem solver  

While in law school at Syracuse University College of Law (SUCOL), Lauren was purposeful in structuring her legal education to learn as much as she could about the family and matrimonial field. She garnered experience as a Student Attorney for two years in SUCOL Children’s Rights and Family Law Clinic and subsequently in the Elder Law Clinic. Lauren served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Kathie E. Davidson, the Administrative Judge for the Ninth Judicial District, and was a Student Attorney through the Pace Women’s Justice Center Family Court Legal Program, assisting domestic violence victims in obtaining ex parte Temporary Orders of Protection.

Lauren maintains professional affiliations with organizations including the New York Women’s Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. She has also received a “Very Good” rating on Avvo.
