Lauren G. Crane

Lauren G. Crane is an attorney at the firm Bender & Crane LLP located in New York, New York. She focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters and has been in the legal field for over 17 years. The types of cases she takes on include but is not limited to divorce, child custody, child support, LGBT, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, mediation and arbitration. 

Ms. Crane is a caring and devoted lawyer who understands the emotional toll that family law issues take on her clients. She fights aggressively for the rights of her clients both inside and outside the courtroom. She is a vigorous litigator at both the trial and appellate court levels, and she is also adept at resolving such cases by skillful negotiation. 

Through Ms. Crane’s mediation training with the American Arbitration Association's Essential Mediation Skills for the New Mediator and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers' Advanced Mediation Training, she has been designated as a mediator in New York County. In 2020, the New York County Supreme Court appointed Lauren to its roster of matrimonial mediators.

An alumnus of Emory University, Ms. Crane received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and history in 2000 and earned her doctorate in jurisprudence from Rutgers Law School in 2003. She is licensed to practice in New York by the New York State Bar Association. 

Actively associated with the legal community, Ms. Crane has memberships in prominent legal associations, including the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, and the Judge’s and Lawyer’s Breast Cancer Alert.
