Laurie J. McPherson

As the principal and founder of The McPherson Firm, P.C., Laurie J. McPherson serves people in the state of New York. She primarily handles high-asset divorce and family law cases, representing clients who are involved in medicine, the arts, fashion, business, the law and finance. Her cases include the following issues: child custody, separate property determination, prenuptial agreements, property division, spousal support and separation agreements. Ms. McPherson also represents clients in post-judgment issues and cohabitation agreements.

Ms. McPherson graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in modern studies. While an undergrad student, she was an honors English major and a Phi Beta Kappa member. She then attended Brooklyn Law School, graduating cum laude with her Juris Doctor. Over time she built her family law experience, learning from bar members who were considered the brightest and best. She then worked for a law firm, reputed to be one of the largest in the world, eventually becoming a partner. She left that law firm to open her own.

Using her 20 plus years' experience, Ms. McPherson is dedicated in helping her clients receive the property to which they may be entitled. She uses a modern and sophisticated approach, employing the latest legal methods to achieve her clients' desires.
