Liza Suzanne Camellerie

Liza Suzanne Camellerie is a seasoned partner at Aronson Mayefsky & Sloan, LLP, where for nearly two decades she has distinguished herself as one of New York’s foremost family and matrimonial law practitioners. Since her admission to the New York State Bar Association in 2007, she has represented clients in some of the city’s most intricate custody disputes, spousal and child support proceedings, paternity actions and equitable distribution matters. Her appellate advocacy further underscores her commitment to securing just and sustainable outcomes for families in transition.  

An academic at heart, Ms. Camellerie holds a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and a Master’s in Public Administration from the institution’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs – credentials that reflect her deep appreciation for the interplay between legal doctrine and public policy. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Boston University, where she laid the intellectual groundwork for a career marked by both rigor and empathy.  

In addition to her matrimonial practice, Ms. Camellerie is recognized as one of New York’s leading advocates in child abuse and neglect proceedings. Certified by the First Judicial Department, she zealously represents the voices of children in custody and visitation matters before the Manhattan Family Court and the New York Supreme Court. 

A true consummate professional, Ms. Camellerie’s skill in this sensitive arena is informed by her previous roles as a supervising attorney with New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services and as a panel attorney for the Manhattan Family Court – positions that honed her ability to navigate the complex intersection of family welfare and legal process.  

Ms. Camellerie is deeply engaged in the legal community. She is an active member of the New York City Bar Association’s Family Court and Family Law Committee; the New York Women’s Bar Association’s Matrimonial and Children’s Rights Committees; the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law Section; the New York State Women’s Bar Association; and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
