Michael D. Palmer

Michael Palmer is the Co-Managing Partner of the New York office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP. He also serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Wage and Hour Practice Group. Focusing his practice on employment law matters, including wage and hour violations, whistleblower claims, employment discrimination and False Claims Act lawsuits, he has more than 15 years of experience practicing law.  

Aggressively advocating for the rights and liberties of his clients, Mr. Palmer has immense experience representing employees in individual as well as class action cases. He upholds his clients’ best interests and fiercely fights for them, having recovered millions of dollars on their behalf. He actively listens to his clients and answers all their queries, providing personalized solutions for each client’s unique case. 

Graduating with highest honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Palmer obtained his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Ninth Circuits. 

Appreciated for his exceptional legal work, Mr. Palmer has received many awards and accolades. Benchmark Litigation has named him to its Labor & Employment Star – Northeast list in the area of labor and employment since 2019. He was also named multiple times to the list of 500 Leading Plaintiff Employment & Civil Rights Lawyers by Lawdragon.
