Michael J. Asta

Michael J. Asta is a senior trial attorney at Asta Law located in New York, New York. He represents clients with personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, medical malpractice, construction accidents, brain injuries, nursing home injuries and product liability. 

Mr. Asta also serves as an adjunct professor of law at New York University. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he uses his more than 32 years of experience and provides excellent legal services to all his clients. Compassionate and dedicated to his clients’ needs and interests, he is a zealous advocate for their rights. He understands the negative effects of being injured through someone else’s negligent, careless and ignorant actions and goes the extra mile for his clients.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University, Mr. Asta pursued law at the St. John’s University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and before the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the Superior Court of New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. 

Mr. Asta is active in his community and has memberships in the American Association for Justice, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Essex County Bar Association. He was also a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Tort Litigation Committee and the subcommittee on Articles 50-A and 50-B of the CPLR.
