Focusing his practice primarily on construction law and related matters, Michael T. Rogers is a partner at Wasserman Grubin & Rogers, L.L.P. From the firm’s offices in New York City, he represents business and individual clients throughout all five boroughs as well as in Nassau and Suffolk counties and parts of New Jersey. Mr. Rogers has been admitted to practice in New York since 1987, and he is also admitted to practice in Connecticut as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
Mr. Rogers has represented just about every type of participant in construction projects, including contractors, developers, owners, architects and other design professionals, equipment suppliers, and tradespersons. His work has encompassed the preparation and review of a variety of contracts that involve all of those parties. When disputes have arisen, as is quite common in this particular industry, Mr. Rogers has advocated on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in court as well as in mediation sessions and before arbitration panels.
Outside of the construction area, Mr. Rogers has handled a variety of general commercial litigation matters, and he has worked on many types of business transactions. His superior track record in all of his practice areas has earned him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell along with many other awards and honors. A New York native, Mr. Rogers attended The State University of New York and received a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in 1982. He then obtained his legal education at St. John’s University School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctor in 1986.
