Miriam E. Zakarin

Miriam E. Zakarin is an attorney and partner at Treuhaft & Zakarin, LLP, in New York, New York. Ms. Zakarin focuses her practice on family law and uses her years of experience to provide committed, personalized representation. She serves clients throughout New York City’s five boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island, as well as in New Jersey.

Ms. Zakarin has experience with many types of family law issues, including divorce, child abuse, child support, custody, domestic violence, modifications, orders for protection, paternity, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements. In addition to family law, she takes on class action and immigration cases.

The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys included Ms. Zakarin on its “10 best” list in 2015. The National Advocates and The National Trial Lawyers have also named her to their “top 40 under 40” lists.

A graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Ms. Zakarin earned a bachelor’s degree in legal studies. Following her undergraduate studies, she went on to earn her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. She is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Ms. Zakarin holds licenses to practice law before all New York and New Jersey state courts. She is also qualified to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
