Attorney Mitchel Ephraim Weiss is a founding partner of Sakkas Cahn & Weiss, LLP, a law firm in New York, New York, where he concentrates his practice on personal injury and medical malpractice law. Mr. Weiss represents the injured and their families in the New York metropolitan area, as well as New Jersey and Connecticut. After graduating with honors from Stony Brook University, Mr. Weiss earned his law degree from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he graduated in 1985. Admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, he also appears before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Weiss has obtained numerous substantial verdicts and settlements for his clients totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars. He has been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization comprised of attorneys who have recovered verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more on behalf of their clients. He has been recognized among the nation’s top trial lawyers by a variety of local and national professional organizations.
