Mitchell S. Zingman

Mitchell S. Zingman is the founder of Zingman & Associates PLLC. He focuses his practice primarily on a variety of real estate transactions and litigation, representing clients throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area from the firm’s offices in midtown Manhattan.

Mr. Zingman attended the University of Rochester as an undergraduate, and he received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 1977. He then enrolled at Cornell Law School, and in 1980, he received his Juris Doctor. Mr. Zingman became admitted to practice before all New York state courts in the following year, and he has since been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association.

Mr. Zingman has represented both buyers and sellers of real estate, ranging from single-family residences to commercial properties such as mixed-use buildings and apartment complexes. In this regard, he often advises clients on the availability of financing alternatives. A significant portion of Mr. Zingman’s litigation caseload has included disputes between commercial and residential tenants and landlords, and here as well, he has assisted both defendants and plaintiffs. He also counts among his real estate clients condominium and cooperative boards, and he has extensive experience in the preparation and review of complex commercial and residential real estate lease agreements.

Apart from his real estate work, Mr. Zingman has a general business practice as well, in which he helps clients to establish new ventures and assists them with contract preparation and, when disputes arise, litigation. He also guides people through the process of administering the estates of their deceased family members, handling will contests and other types of probate issues when necessary.
