Nicole Abruzzo Hemrick is the managing attorney of Hemrick PLLC in New York, New York. Ms. Hemrick focuses exclusively on both business and family immigration matters. She assists clients throughout the New York metropolitan region with asylum, citizenship and naturalization issues.

Ms. Hemrick holds a law license in New York and New Jersey and is admitted before several federal courts in both states. She also appears before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th Circuits. Over the course of her career, she has been involved in cases involving nearly every type of immigration issue.

Before founding her own law practice, Ms. Hemrick clerked for judges in New York, New Jersey and Arizona immigration courts, practiced at private immigration firms and volunteered at a nonprofit organization for immigrant abuse victims.

Passionate about educating others on immigration, Ms. Hemrick authors and speaks on various immigration topics. She is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and co-chaired the NYC Chapter’s 20th Annual Symposium, held in December 2018.  She is also the co-chair of AILA’s practice management committee. She previously served as interim secretary for the New York City Bar Association’s Immigration and Nationality Committee and belonged to the New York State Bar Association.

Ms. Hemrick graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree. She went on to graduate from St. John’s University School of Law in 2007 and was a member of the dean’s list. She was listed as one of the “Top Attorneys of North America” in the 2015-2016 edition of the Who’s Who Directories.
