Oliver R. Tobias

Fluent in German and French as well as in English, Oliver R. Tobias is a junior partner at New York City-based Elefterakis Elefterakis & Panek. Along with the rest of the firm, he focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, representing plaintiffs exclusively. Cases that he has handled include medical malpractice, construction site accidents, products liability, nursing home negligence, motor vehicle crashes, and slips and falls. Having tried dozens of cases to verdict, Mr. Tobias oversees the discovery process of trials that his firm is participating in.

Born in Germany, Mr. Tobias moved to the United States and enrolled at The George Washington University. He graduated with honors in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and German language and literature. He then enrolled at New York Law School and received his Juris Doctor in 2010. While in law school, Mr. Tobias clerked for a local law firm. After graduation, he joined a Brooklyn personal injury firm and was an associate there until joining his current firm in 2013. Mr. Tobias is admitted to practice before all New York state courts as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

In addition to handling cases at both the trial and appellate levels, Mr. Tobias serves as a mentor to the firm's younger associates, helping to cultivate their skills. He has participated as a lecturer in trial clinics sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, and he remains an active participant in that organization along with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Brooklyn Bar Association.
