Rachel L. Jacobs

Attorney Rachel L. Jacobs focuses her practice solely on personal injury law, with a particular emphasis on prosecuting personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice.

Licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey, Ms. Jacobs has achieved notable success advocating on behalf of clients across both states who are suffering needlessly as a result of someone else's negligent, careless or unlawful actions. She handles all aspects of the legal process, from initial investigations and discoveries to researching and writing motions, drafting pleadings, and fully preparing each case as if it were to go to trial.

Over the course of her legal career spanning more than seven years, Ms. Jacobs has handled many complex cases against big pharma and other corporations and institutions in America, and she has recovered substantial settlements and verdicts for her plaintiff clients. Honored for her success, she has earned consistent top rankings and endorsements from her peers, and Leaders of the Law named her among New York's Leading Personal Injury Lawyers in 2017.

A 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Binghamton University and winner of the Amy M. Gilbert Prize for Excellence in History, Ms. Jacobs attended Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2013.

A fellow with the prestigious David Berg Foundation in law school, she was an active member of the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender as well as the Equal Justice Works Summer Corp, and she worked for the Innocence Project, Lambda Legal, and Legal Services NYC. She also received the Jacobs Burns Ethics Center in the Practice of Law Award in recognition for her outstanding contributions.

Along with practicing before all state courts in New York and New Jersey, she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Drawing upon her extensive legal knowledge, Ms. Jacobs has published several articles for the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender and other publications.
