- A $65 million settlement for a client who was paralyzed in an accident while biking under a subway construction project in Bushwick. This is one of the largest reported personal injury settlements in New York.
- A $30 million jury verdict for a client who endured years of childhood sexual abuse. This is reported to be New York’s first Child Victims Act verdict on a defended case.
- A $13.5 million settlement during trial for a pedestrian who suffered catastrophic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, after she was struck by a car while crossing the street. This is the largest reported personal injury settlement in Suffolk County.

He has also lectured at the New York State Bar Association’s CLE programs and taught trial advocacy at St. John’s University School of Law in Queens. After graduating from Fordham University School of Law, Mr. Occhiogrosso began his career as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. As part of the Gang Unit, he handled cases involving violent crimes and gang-related activities. It was during his time as a prosecutor that Mr. Occhiogrosso discovered he wanted to use his career to make a positive impact on others’ lives.
After leaving the D.A.’s Office, Mr. Occhiogrosso worked as a defense attorney for the New York Port Authority. He gained valuable courtroom experience there, which he now brings to all his cases with Block O’Toole & Murphy.
