Scott C. Occhiogrosso

Attorney Scott O. Occhiogrosso joined the New York City law firm of Block O'Toole & Murphy, LLP, in 2011. Since joining the firm, he has focused his legal practice on protecting the rights of New York residents who have suffered severe personal injuries due to another party's negligence, including those resulting from catastrophic construction accidents.

Mr. Occhiogrosso began practicing law in 2000 after earning his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and his approval to practice in New York state. In addition to New York's approval, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York approved him to practice law in their courtrooms in 2005.

Attorney Occhiogrosso began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office. His legal abilities and determination saw him rewarded with a promotion to the Brooklyn Gang Unit, where he prosecuted offenders charged with gang-related activities and other violent crimes.

In 2005, he joined the legal team at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he defended employees against civil claims. He remained in that role until 2010, at which time he joined a New York City personal injury firm, where he made a name for himself by obtaining a multimillion-dollar jury verdict in a medical malpractice case.

With his background and successful record, it is no surprise that Mr. Occhiogrosso is a highly respected member of the legal community. His legal abilities have earned him a number of honors, including a place as an adjunct professor in trial advocacy at St. John's University School of Law and as a coach of trial advocacy teams on regional and national levels.
