Seth Benjamin Weinberg

The founding partner of Weinberg Zareh Malkin Price LLP in New York City, New York, Seth Benjamin Weinberg is an established attorney practicing business law. He serves clients throughout New York City, representing them at all stages of their development, including formation, financing, regulation, acquisition and reorganization. His practice also focuses on food and beverage regulatory projects, advising food and beverage companies regarding risk allocation, licensing and regulatory compliance.

In addition to his experience in general corporate and transactional work, Mr. Weinberg has experience representing clients in the investment management industry. He represents investment managers and their portfolio companies in business expansions and contractions, individual investments, and portfolio transactions in addition to designing and executing management and profit-sharing plans and special-situation transactions. Furthermore, he regularly counsels consumer goods companies, public and private companies across different sectors, consulting ventures and individuals.

Upon graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in communications and American civilization, Mr. Weinberg pursued his law degree at Columbia Law School. He earned his Juris Doctor with a Parker School Certificate of Achievement in International Law in 1998. He earned his license to practice law in New York in 2001 and is also admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

For nearly two decades after earning his license, Mr. Weinberg practiced at major New York law firms, after which he served as general counsel to Castle Brands, a publicly traded consumer goods company. His diverse background gives him a well-rounded perspective in advising clients on complex business law, investment management, and food and beverage regulations, enabling him to grasp legal challenges from both outside counsel and corporate viewpoints. He currently serves as a member of the adjunct faculty of Columbia Law School, teaching food law and policy.
