Thomas Wolinetz

A partner at the New York, New York, firm Weltz Law, Thomas Wolinetz is a committed and diligent commercial litigation and transaction law attorney. His professional interests sway toward areas of securities litigation and arbitration, finance, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. 

Mr. Wolinetz worked for two renowned Manhattan legal firms as well as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission before founding Weltz Law. Mr. Wolinetz graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice with a minor in law from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he also served as the business and technology editor of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal. He was also a dean's scholar at the university and served as a treasurer at the Hofstra Law Business Law Society.

Licensed in New York since 2017, Mr. Wolinetz is also authorized to practice in Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey. Additionally, he has appeared before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
