Valentina Shaknes

Valentina Shaknes is an attorney and partner at Krauss Shaknes Tallentire & Messeri LLP in New York, New York. Ms. Shaknes concentrates her practice on divorce and family law, serving clients throughout the New York City metropolitan area.

Ms. Shaknes has over sixteen years of experience practicing family law. She handles matters involving high net-worth divorce, child support, custody, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, spousal support and visitation, as well as international child abduction under the Hague Convention and international custody disputes. Active in various professional organizations, Ms. Shaknes serves on the matrimonial law committee of the New York City Bar Association and is a member of the matrimonial law section of the New York County Lawyers Association. She belongs to the New York State Bar Association’s children’s rights committee and family law section and the family law committee of the New York Women’s Bar Association.

Ms. Shaknes graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree. She earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. She is qualified to appear before all New York and Connecticut state courts, the U.S. district courts for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
