Virginia G. Alvarez

Virginia G. Alvarez is the founding member of Alvarez NY Law, based in New York City, New York, where she provides dedicated legal representation to clients across a range of legal matters. Her practice focuses on family law, divorce, criminal defense and real estate law, allowing her to assist individuals and families facing both personal and complicated legal challenges. She remains committed to delivering responsive, informed and results-focused legal representation through her practice.

Academically accomplished, Ms. Alvarez graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 1997. She later obtained her master’s degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2000. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2004 from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she bolstered her legal skills and was actively involved in student leadership.

Admitted to practice law in New York in 2005, Ms. Alvarez is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She maintains active involvement in professional organizations, including the New York County Lawyers Association and the Queens County Bar Association, and is a member of the Penn State Golden Lions.
