William A. Gentile

William A. Gentile joined the legal team at Godosky & Gentile in 2007, bringing with him a robust background in both criminal and civil litigation. His practice areas include torts, personal injury and medical malpractice, where he continues to advocate for the rights of those injured due to negligence or malpractice. Since his arrival, he has achieved numerous verdicts and settlements exceeding one million dollars, establishing him as a formidable presence in the field of personal injury law. 

Mr. Gentile’s honors and awards include being peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell. His reputation for excellence is further underscored by his inclusion in prestigious directories such as Best Lawyers, which rank him among the top litigators in New York.

Before his tenure at Godosky & Gentile, Mr. Gentile honed his litigation skills as an assistant state attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. There, he managed a diverse caseload including narcotics, homicide and complex fraud cases. His role as lead counsel in over 25 trials provided him with extensive courtroom experience and a deep understanding of effective legal strategy.

Mr. Gentile’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. He is licensed to practice in both New York and Florida, reflecting his broad jurisdictional competence. His commitment to legal excellence is also evident in his professional affiliations. He serves as president of the New York City Trial Lawyers Alliance (NYCTLA) and is a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
