John Ingrassia

Attorney John Ingrassia is a partner at Larkin Ingrassia, LLP, in Newburgh, New York. Mr. Ingrassia focuses his practice exclusively on criminal defense law, representing defendants charged with DWI, drug offenses, sex crimes, traffic tickets or other misdemeanors or felonies. He serves clients in Newburgh, Middletown and throughout the Hudson Valley region.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Ingrassia has successfully defended thousands of New York residents accused of a crime. He has more than 25 years of experience and has litigated at both the trial and appellate levels. He is licensed in all New York state courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York.

Mr. Ingrassia has lectured on DWI topics for local bar associations and continuing legal education seminars. He also trained judges on DWI issues on behalf of the New York State Office of Court Administration. He has earned recognition from various groups including being named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in New York state multiple years in a row by The National Trial Lawyers.

In addition, Mr. Ingrassia has been recognized by America’s Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys and America’s Top 100 Attorneys. He is a member of several professional legal organizations and previously served as a delegate to the New York State Bar Association House of Delegates.

Mr. Ingrassia graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in social science from St. Bonaventure University. He earned his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, also graduating cum laude. He has extensive legal experience, including serving as a law assistant for the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department and an assistant district attorney for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
