Theresa R. Cayton

Theresa R. Cayton is an associate attorney at the law firm of Larkin Ingrassia, LLP, which is located in Newburgh, New York. With an associate degree in criminal justice from The State University of New York, Ms. Cayton graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in humanities and justice from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2011. She pursued her legal education at the Albany Law School of Union University and earned her Juris Doctor in 2014.

After law school, Ms. Cayton worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained invaluable experience prosecuting offenses related to domestic violence. While there, she has also successfully worked on other criminal law cases involving sex offenses, assault, narcotics possession and DUI. Additionally, she was a member of the Special Victims Unit.
