John F. Harwick

As the managing partner at Hacker Murphy, LLP, based in Schenectady, New York, John F. Harwick offers dedicated legal representation to individuals and businesses throughout New York. He focuses his practice on personal injury and commercial litigation, where he advocates for clients in complex disputes and high-stakes matters. Over the years, he has secured multiple settlements exceeding $1 million on behalf of seriously injured clients.

Mr. Harwick graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University in 1991. Later, he went on to attend the Albany Law School of Union University, where he honed his shrewd legal acumen and earned his Juris Doctor in 1995. During law school, he gained significant knowledge and built the legal foundation that continues to inform his practice.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Harwick maintains leadership and membership roles in several professional organizations. He is a past president and current member of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on the executive board of the Albany County Bar Association and on the board of directors for the Schenectady County Bar Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Rensselaer County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Saratoga County Bar Association and the Northern District of New York Federal Court Bar Association.

With over three decades of legal experience, Mr. Harwick represents clients in state and federal courts across New York. He is admitted to practice in the state of New York as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of New York.
