With a passion for real estate law and a commitment to strategic, client-focused solutions, Shannon Bahnsen serves as an associate in the Real Estate Department of Westerman Ball Ederer Miller Zucker & Sharfstein, LLP. Based in Uniondale, New York, she advises an array of international, national, regional and local retailers, developers, property owners and businesses on the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases for high-end retail, restaurant, office, industrial and other niche properties throughout New York and across the United States.

Recognized for her meticulous attention to detail and pragmatic approach, Ms. Bahnsen works tirelessly to guide both landlords and tenants through complex real estate transactions. She strives to align each agreement with her clients’ long-term business objectives, balancing legal rigor with strategic business considerations. 

Whether structuring lease terms for a flagship retail location in Manhattan or securing favorable renewal conditions for an industrial tenant in the Midwest, Ms. Bahnsen delivers creative, cost-effective solutions tailored to her clients’ unique needs. Educationally, she earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany. She is admitted to practice in both the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Prior to joining Westerman Ball Ederer Miller Zucker & Sharfstein, LLP, Ms. Bahnsen honed her skill at a prominent New York City real estate firm and later contributed to leasing and zoning matters at a Long Island practice. Her background, combined with her unwavering dedication and industry insight, empowers her to deliver exceptional results for clients navigating today’s evolving commercial real estate landscape.
