Details
Focusing her practice exclusively on family law matters, Denise O'Connor is a member of Kramer Kozek LLP. Working out of the firm’s offices in White Plains, New York, she provides representation to clients in Westchester County and throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area. Admitted to practice in New York since 1988, Ms. O’Connor is also admitted to practice in New Jersey as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
The majority of Ms. O’Connor’s clients are people who are seeing their marriages come to an end and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues as spousal and child support, the division of complex assets and debts, and child custody and visitation. Many of them have substantial business holdings and other interests, and she works with forensic accountants and other professionals during the property division phase of the process. Ms. O'Connor is often able to help her clients in coming to an accord on these issues through negotiations and mediation as well.
Ms. O’Connor also assists people whose marriages have already been legally dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing support and parenting orders. Her other family law experience has included grandparents’ rights, the preparation and review of prenuptial and postmarital agreements, and the representation of domestic violence victims who are petitioning the court for protective orders. The high quality of her work has earned Ms. O’Connor a great deal of recognition from her colleagues, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
