After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with honors, Ms. Kaplan enrolled at the Brooklyn Law School to pursue her legal studies. Earning her Juris Doctor in 1995, she passed the bar and was admitted to practice in Connecticut the same year, and later, in New York (1996). Over the past two decades, she has developed a reputation in the legal community for helping clients through complex domestic relations matters.

Ms. Kaplan is very involved with helping her community through her pro bono work. She is also active in the legal arena, maintaining memberships with the New York City Bar Association, the Westchester County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New York Women's Bar Association.
