Donna M. Genovese

Donna M. Genovese is a partner in the matrimonial and family law firm Goldschmidt & Genovese LLP, located just north of New York City in White Plains, New York. Ms. Genovese practices family law with a particular emphasis on divorce-related matters, including spousal maintenance and property settlement. She serves clients in Westchester County and surrounding areas with compassion, commitment and attention to detail, and her additional focus on collaborative law ensures that she will always seek the best method for resolving disputes for her clients, which often means staying out of court and working out differences through alternative dispute resolution processes. On account of her dedicated and thoughtful approach, Ms. Genovese has been listed in Best Lawyers in America* since 2008.

A graduate of the University of Bridgeport Law School, which has since become the Quinnipiac University School of Law, Ms. Genovese earned her law degree in 1988. That same year, she was admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut. In the following year, she was admitted to practice in New York.

Ms. Genovese is active in a variety of professional organizations at the national and local levels. In particular, she serves as the vice president of the Association of Collaborative Lawyers of Rockland-Westchester. In addition, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of the family law sections for both the Westchester County and Rockland County bar associations. Ms. Genovese has delivered CLE presentations before the Westchester County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the National Business Institute on topics ranging from a general survey of divorce proceedings to procedures for making pendente lite motions.
