Ellen Jancko-Baken

Ellen Jancko-Baken is a family law attorney with over 30 years of legal experience. Ms. Jancko-Baken is a partner at Fredman Baken & Novenstern in White Plains, New York, and she serves clients throughout Westchester County. She focuses her practice primarily on divorce. 

While Ms. Jancko-Baken is an experienced trial lawyer, she is also skilled in negotiation. She frequently engages in collaborative divorce, which aims to minimize the stress and financial burden that traditionally comes with divorce litigation in a courtroom. She draws on alternative dispute resolution techniques such as mediation to help her clients achieve a divorce resolution in an amicable manner.

Committed to providing the best possible experience to each client, Ms. Jancko-Baken provides passionate and caring legal representation. She guides clients through each step in the process and delivers sound advice. When a case is unable to be resolved through collaborative methods, she is willing and able to take a case to trial.

Outside of her law practice, Ms. Jancko-Baken enjoys staying involved in the family law community. She is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association and chair of the Domestic Relations and Family Law Section. She holds licenses to practice law before all New York and Connecticut state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Ms. Jancko-Baken graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree. She earned her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. While attending law school, she served as a member of the school’s law review.
