Jeffrey I. Carton

A co-founder of Denlea & Carton LLP and an accomplished civil trial lawyer, Jeffrey I. Carton handles a variety of matters for his individual and business clients throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area. From the firm's office in White Plains, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, breach of contract actions, real estate fraud, intellectual property infringement, royalty disputes, artist/management conflicts, and consumer class actions. Mr. Carton's clients have included broadcast journalists, executive producers, professional athletes, Heineken, AIG, Travelers, Elite Models, the United States Tennis Association and the United States Equestrian Federation.

Some of Mr. Carton's representative cases have included the successful defense of a boat builder in a wrongful death lawsuit involving a tour boat that capsized on Lake George in which he obtained summary judgment on his client's behalf, and the successful representation of the surviving family members of a Major League Baseball pitcher against the manufacturer of a dietary supplement. Mr. Carton's track record and superb ethics have caught the attention of his fellow attorneys, and he has been selected for inclusion in U.S. News & World Reports, Best Lawyers in America in "Commercial Litigation." He has also been named to the Top 100 Lawyers list compiled by the American Society of Legal Advocates, the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 in New York, and he is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and Elite Lawyers in America.

Admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, Mr. Carton is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 9th Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Carton graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1988, and pursued his legal studies at Columbia Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1991.
