Joanne Indriolo Zelko

Attorney Joanne Zelko is an associate with Kitson Law in White Plains, New York. A highly rated lawyer with more than 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Zelko devotes her practice to family law and helping clients throughout Westchester County and the surrounding areas with their serious and sensitive legal matters regarding their divorce.

Along with being a tenacious trial attorney, Ms. Zelko is also trained in mediation, and she prefers to help her clients find solutions for their issues efficiently and civilly without the need for expensive and time-consuming court battles. Whether inside or outside the courtroom, she always has her clients' rights and best interests at heart as she strives to help them resolve their differences and reach agreements with regards to child custody, child support, visitation and parenting rights, alimony, property division and all other related matters.

Ms. Zelko earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University in 1984, and after years of working in the business world, she decided to pursue her legal career. She then returned to her alma mater and attended Pace University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2003. The New York State Bar Association admitted her to practice in 2004.

While in law school, Ms. Zelko received the George O. Becker Memorial Scholarship. Since entering private practice, she has become a recognized leader in matrimonial and family law, and she has received several awards and honors for her professionalism and service. She has also conducted several continuing legal education seminars on ethics and professionalism and other legal topics.

Ms. Zelko maintains active involvement in her legal community as evidenced by her memberships with the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County, the Westchester County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
