As partner at Farber, Pappalardo & Carbonari, John A. Pappalardo has decades of experience representing clients in Westchester County and White Plains, New York. He handles family law cases that involve issues such as divorce and child custody.
Knowledgeable in matrimonial collaboration and arbitration, Mr. Pappalardo finds creative ways for dealing with complex issues while remaining sensitive to the needs of those involved. He is a guardian ad litem and part of the New York State Unified Court System’s Attorneys for Children Program. At one time, he served as an attorney on behalf of families involved with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Mr. Pappalardo knows how family law issues affect little ones, and the toll the situation can take on their parents. He factors in a child’s needs and best interests when guiding clients through the judicial process.
Mr. Pappalardo is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, an organization composed of family lawyers who are recognized and respected by the bench and bar as the leaders in the field. He also serves his community as a Part-Time Municipal Judge and an Adjunct Professor at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. He is a published author, as well as a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law and Dispute Resolution sections, the American Bar Association’s Family Law and Dispute Resolution sections, the Westchester County Bar Association’s Domestic Relations & Family Law Section and the American Arbitration Association. In addition to his frequent guest speaking appearances, he serves as a visiting professor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
