Anthony J. Tantillo

Anthony J. Tantillo is a seasoned trial attorney at William Mattar, P.C., in Williamsville, New York, dedicated to championing the rights of individuals injured in car, truck, motorcycle, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, as well as all other types of personal injury. From an early age, he felt called to the law, determined to serve those most in need of legal advocacy.

As the first member of his family to earn a college degree, Mr. Tantillo exemplifies hard work and perseverance – values forged through delivering newspapers, washing dishes, framing houses and even delivering pizzas. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, he pursued dual degrees in business administration and finance at SUNY Buffalo State University, graduating in 1998.

Mr. Tantillo then earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2002. That same year, he was admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. By 2006, he had also gained admission to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Tantillo’s early career as a defense attorney was marked by remarkable success: achieving over 50 jury verdicts in his first five years and serving as co-counsel in landmark cases for the New York Port Authority after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. While defending the Port Authority in numerous trials, he discovered a profound calling to represent catastrophically injured individuals rather than corporate entities.

Since joining William Mattar, P.C., Mr. Tantillo has devoted himself to ensuring that accident victims have a powerful voice before juries, arbitrators and mediators. His advocacy has yielded multiple seven-figure verdicts and settlements, lauded throughout New York state.
