Daniel R. Tota

The managing member at Durante, Bock & Tota, PLLC, Daniel R. Tota divides his practice among several different areas of the law. He works out of the firm’s offices in Yorktown Heights, New York, and he represents people and businesses throughout Westchester and Putnam counties. 

Mr. Tota is a graduate of the University of Harford, where in 1999, he earned a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in each sociology and criminal justice, finishing at the top of his class in both subjects. Mr. Tota then enrolled at Brooklyn Law School, and in 2003, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. He worked at both the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.

A large portion of Mr. Tota’s practice involves a variety of real estate matters. He has handled closings of both commercial and residential properties, and he has worked on disputes between landlords and tenants, and has prepared commercial lease and financing agreements as well. Mr. Tota also has a business law practice, and this has encompassed entity formation, the preparation and review of shareholder and partnership agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and related litigation if and when disputes arise.

Mr. Tota’s experience additionally extends to personal injury and wrongful death litigation, in which he represents people who have been harmed due to the negligence of other parties. His superior track record in all of these endeavors has earned him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and an “Excellent” peer review rating through Avvo. Mr. Tota is admitted to practice in both New York and Connecticut.
