Shari R. Gordon

Attorney Shari R. Gordon, with her firm, the Law Office of Shari R. Gordon, located in Yorktown Heights, New York, has been offering dedicated divorce and family law services since 1986. Her practice is focused on divorce litigation, family court proceedings, collaborative divorce and divorce mediation, serving clients throughout New York and globally. 

Ms. Gordon serves as President Elect of the Westchester Women's Bar Association (WWBA) and the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) for two terms. Her leadership roles in WBASNY included co-chairing the Health and Reproductive Rights Committee from 2007 to 2021, where she played a significant role in advancing legislative initiatives such as the Reproductive Health Act, the Comprehensive Contraception Care Act and the Child Parent Security Act. Her involvement in the WWBA spans over a decade, where she has served as an elected director and state director and continues as an elected director. 

Furthermore, Ms. Gordon contributed to the development of the four-volume treatise, “New York Matrimonial Law and Practice,” authored by Timothy M. Tippins, Esq., receiving acknowledgment for her assistance. 

Graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1982, Ms. Gordon earned her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 1985, where she was awarded the Gabrielli Best Brief Award. She was admitted to the New York State Bar Association in 1986. She holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Supreme Court.
