David Gantt

David Gantt practices personal injury law at David Gantt Law Office in Asheville, North Carolina. Mr. Gantt represents injured individuals in personal injury matters involving social security disability, workers' compensation and more throughout Western North Carolina.

As an accomplished attorney with more than four (4) decades of experience, Mr. Gantt began his legal career by earning a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He later attained his law degree from Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has been licensed to practice in North Carolina since 1981.

Mr. Gantt is admitted to appear before several federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Gantt has received recognition from a variety of organizations over the course of his legal career, including being named one of the "Best Law Firms" for workers' compensation in Asheville by U.S. News & World Report and is rated AV Preeminent*, the highest possible, by attorney peer review service Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been listed in the publication "The Best Lawyers in America" since 2015.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Gantt belongs to a number of professional legal organizations including the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the President's Club of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gantt has authored articles on personal injury related topics and spoken at various seminars and conferences for continuing legal education. He also volunteers his time to organizations including the Airport Authority of the Asheville Regional Airport, the Triangle Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee and is a lifetime member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  Mr. Gantt served as a Buncombe County Commissioner for twenty (20) years.
