Anna N. Westmoreland

For over 20 years, Anna N. Westmoreland has been a staunch advocate for her clients, helping them get through their stressful family law ordeals, including divorce and separation, and child custody and support, as well as in other legal matters pertaining to estate planning and employment law. A partner at Westmoreland Legal, P.A., in Charlotte, North Carolina, she serves clients throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area.

Ms. Westmoreland completed her undergraduate studies in 2000, graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and government, and a minor in women’s studies. She went on to attend New England Law | Boston, where she honed her legal talents and bolstered her foundations to help her clients today. She received her Juris Doctor in 2004, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in North Carolina.

A firm proponent of mediation and arbitration, Ms. Westmoreland always puts the needs of her clients first and foremost, which is why she emphasizes using alternative dispute resolutions to save on time and money, as well as preventing undue stress to be added on to an already difficult legal matter. She is a certified District Court Mediator and Family Financial Mediator, and outside her law practice, she has taught many continuing legal education courses on myriad topics, such as employment discrimination guidelines and divorce and alimony.

Within her legal community, Ms. Westmoreland maintains close affiliations with many legal organizations, including the North Carolina State Bar, the American Bar Association and the Mecklenburg Bar Association, among others.
