Christopher E. Hannum

Mr. Hannum  focuses on business law, tax law, real estate, estate planning, asset protection and wealth preservation planning, and is Co-chairman of the CLE Committee of the North Carolina Bar Tax Section.  He has over 25 years of experience in representing individuals, families and businesses in complex tax and business matters, including estate tax planning, business organizations, wealth protection, securities matters, tax controversy, mergers and acquisitions. 

Mr. Hannum has a proven track record of handling successful transactions and developing effective solutions to minimize taxes and legal risks and achieve client objectives.  He counsels clients in all aspects of tax and business matters, estate and succession planning, business sales and acquisitions, labor and creditor disputes as well as shareholder and other legal matters.

Mr. Hannum has also led or participated in many of the corporate transactions the Firm has recently handled as part of the CEC Business Planning and Transactions Practice.
