Cynthia T. Fenninger

A partner at Orsbon & Fenninger, LLP, Cynthia T. Fenninger represents clients in the Charlotte, North Carolina, metropolitan area. Her legal practice is focused on estate planning, wills and trusts, tax law and probate administration. At both the federal and state level, she has extensive experience in gift tax issues, estate issues and income issues. During her career, she has regularly represented and advised clients in a variety of matters that directly affect their lives and their future.

Admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina since 1993, Ms. Fenninger attended The University of North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1989 before attending law school. At the University of North Carolina School of Law, she graduated with Honors and as Order of the Coif with her Juris Doctor in 1993.

A member of the American Bar Association, she is actively involved with the Fiduciary Law Section and the Estate Planning Section of the organization. Ms. Fenninger is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the organization’s Taxation Section. In estate planning and probate law, she is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist.

Her legal experience includes handling matters of estate administration with an emphasis on valuation, advising fiduciaries on their duties and powers, working within the estate planning setting to coordinate retirement plan benefits, and creating living trusts.
