Fred W. DeVore III is a managing partner of the law firm of DeVore, Acton & Stafford, P.A., in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fred has a legal practice focused on civil litigation in the areas of catastrophic injury, wrongful death, construction litigation, insurance bad faith, contract litigation and condemnation law. Fred was selected for inclusion in North Carolina Super Lawyers since 2007 and is currently rated as one of the top 25 attorneys in Charlotte and in the top 100 in North Carolina. 

Mr. DeVore has litigated more than 70 appellate cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, North Carolina Supreme Court and the United States Fourth Circuit and is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Fred has obtained multi-million dollars verdicts in several high profile cases and is a frequent lecturer on trial tactics and the use of demonstrative evidence n the courtroom and at mediation.

Having served on the Mecklenburg County Bar Grievance Committee for many years as both a member and the chairman, he currently serves on the Disciplinary Hearing Commission for the North Carolina State Bar.  He is also on the Executive Board of Directors for the Mecklenburg County Bar.

Fred has an undergraduate and masters degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated from Wake Forest Law School in 1982.  He practices with Bill Acton, Troy Stafford, Will DeVore and Derek Adler.
